Melissa Clark, Ph.D.
DirectorDr. Clark is a Professor in the Department of Health Services, Policy and Practice in the School of Public Health and in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Clark is a methodologist whose research interests integrate survey research methods with substantive areas of underserved populations and health services. Her research explores individual, social, and environmental barriers and facilitators to health and well-being among individuals who have traditionally experienced disparities in health status and access to high quality health care. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.

Michelle Rogers, Ph.D.
Senior Director of ResearchDr. Rogers is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences in the Brown University School of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in demography from Brown University. Dr. Rogers’ research interests focus on child and adolescent health and well-being, chronic health conditions, and social determinants of health. She has over twenty years of experience in online data collection, sampling, and complex data management and analysis.

Shira Dunsiger, Ph.D.
Associate Director of AnalyticsDr. Dunsiger is an Associate Professor (Research) in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences in the Brown University School of Public Health, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biostatistics. She received her Ph.D. in biostatistics from Brown University. Dr. Dunsiger’s research focuses on identifying sophisticated statistical methodology as it applies to behavioral medicine, including behavioral, physiological, psychological and medical health outcomes. She has 15 years of experience collaborating on more than 100 NIH-funded studies, including studies on big data, ecological momentary assessment, wearable technologies, mediation and pattern detection models.

Kimberly Bernard, Ph.D.
Senior Research ScientistDr. Bernard has over 20 years of experience managing evaluation projects in applied settings, including education, public health, child support, and child welfare. She has served as the Principal Investigator of several federal evaluation projects funded through the Bureau of Justice Assistance, National Science Foundation, and the Office for Victims of Crime. Dr. Bernard embraces TOP facilitation techniques and is experienced in bringing large and diverse groups of stakeholders together for the purpose of evaluation planning and promoting the use of data in program and policy settings. She holds a Ph.D. from the Heller School of Social Policy & Management at Brandeis University.

Tamara Sequeira, RN, MSN
Assistant Director of OperationsTamara Sequeira has more than 25 years of research management experience in clinical, behavioral health, and survey research projects. She is a graduate of Clark University with a degree in Biology, and a graduate of Rhode Island College with degrees of Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science, Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Population/Public Health.

Nichole Stetten, Ph.D., MPH, CPH
Qualitative Senior Research ScientistDr. Stetten has over 10 years of qualitative research experience including leading qualitative aims on grant funded studies, teaching graduate level qualitative courses and training students and research assistants in qualitative methodologies. Dr. Stetten has experience working on a diverse set of topic areas and populations that include but are not limited to: veterans, older adults, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, HIV, substance use, interprofessional collaboration, autonomous vehicles, qualitative pedagogy, life care planning, rehabilitation services and climate change. Dr. Stetten received her MPH and Ph.D. in public health with a concentration in Social Behavioral Sciences at the University of Florida.

Christopher Breault, B.S.
Senior Data ScientistMr. Breault has more than 20 years of experience as a Data Management Supervisor, collaborating on more than 100 NIH-funded studies in the past decade. He brings extensive experience both setting up complex participant tracking systems and data entry portals, as well as processing and coding high dimensional data (from wearable technologies, electronic health records and EMA data downloads). He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Management Information Systems.

Susan Pinheiro, B.S., M.S.
Senior Data ScientistMs. Pinheiro has more than 20 years of experience as a Data Systems Analyst in behavioral and preventive medicine, including long term collaborations on NIH-funded randomized controlled trials and observational studies. She brings extensive experience designing and implementing relational database systems, processing high dimensional data (e.g. heart rate variability) and coding in VB6, VBA, C++, Pascal, T-SQL, SQL Server, REDCap, Qualtrics, ActiLife, SPSS and SAS. She earned degrees in Management and Information Systems (BS from University of Rhode Island), Digital Forensics (MS from University of Central Florida) and Bioinformatics (University of Maryland).
